Enrique’s work as an activist in the LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bi, and trans people) community started over 10 years ago as an International Relations student at Universidad de las Américas Puebla, where he became active through different roles: as a member of the student LGBT+ association, a columnist and a radio host in student media, addressing discrimination and human rights issues.
Enrique has an inquisitive mind, and is an alumnus of UNAM’s first class of the research seminar “Gay studies in Mexico”. Before setting down in Mexico City, he spent short periods in Lyon, France, and New York, where he got his first professional experiences.
He was named one of the 50 Top Diversity Professionals on The Economist magazine’s 2015 Global Diversity List. His experience includes collaborations in Canada, the United States, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Kenya, Thailand, and various states in Mexico.
Enrique is a committed activist. And as a consultant he’s always up to date on issues related to the LGBT+ community.
